COATESVILLE — After a COVID-produced hiccup or two, nonprofit Revival Productions is scrambling to present its biggest production yet.
Forty-five cast and crew members are currently rehearsing for a May 6-22 airing of the “SpongeBob Musical,” inspired by the Nickelodeon TV show.
The Revival Conservatory is located at 17 N. Church St. in Coatesville. The play will take place at a different location, Collegium Charter School, 515 James Hance Court, Exton.
A team of paid professional actors from the tri-state area will tap dance, rap, play country music, and a live Foley artist who creates sounds like once played with an old-fashioned radio program se will also render.

“SpongeBob is our biggest show to date and the actors that are part of this production are nothing short of phenomenal,” she said. “He’s one of the best talents I’ve ever worked with.”
In the live-action setting, SpongeBob and his friends must find a way to save the town of Bikini Bottom from the eruption of a volcano, Mount Humongous. The fun comes from there.
Revival Productions has become a major player in the revitalization of Coatesville since the organization opened in July 2020.
Half-day and full-day summer camps are a must. The children also receive private lessons in singing, piano, instrument and dance. Group classes are offered in theater and other disciplines.
Summer camps run from June 13 to August 13. 13 and features several options including Troll Camps, Enchanted Camp (a Disney movie), and Hamilton Camp.
“Our mission is to provide the region with professional, excellent and affordable live entertainment and arts education,” said Grayberg. “I couldn’t find any other art school in this area with programs like this.
“It is extremely important that a quality arts education is made available to any interested student.”
Revival works to enrich Coatesville.
“We are dedicated to revitalizing our community through the arts,” said Grayberg. “And we bring members of the public into the community where they can engage with local merchants, stores and other community offerings.”
Grayberg was thrilled to announce that the nonprofit organization has received a $30,000 Justamere Foundation grant that will provide subsidized tuition for families and students.
Grayberg is a professional choreographer, actor, and union director. She earned an undergraduate degree in musical theater from Westminster College of the Arts and a master’s degree from Rider University.

Opening night is May 6, and shows are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, from 7:30 p.m. to May 22, with matinees at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The evening show on May 22 starts at 7 p.m.
Students up to grade 12 can attend a Saturday matinee free of charge. Tickets will also be available at the door.
